Rebecca…who is she?
She was born on Christmas Day and refers to herself as her parent’s “Best. Christmas Present. EVER.” Which further endears her to her four older sisters.
She is a very small town Wisconsin girl (population 700) who now lives in DC and loves it most of the time. But desperately misses small town life…and small town cost of living.
She sometimes forgets she lives in DC and when she rounds a corner and sees the Washington Monument, it startles her.
She bites off more than she can chew and then chews it like it is the most decadent dessert ever baked.
She thinks there is no better way to spend an afternoon than twirling around in a pretty dress in an Anthropologie fitting room.
She gets distracted by sparkly things.
She is a statistician by day, satisfying a lifelong fascination with numbers and patterns and logic.
She never lets her mind stop whirling and twirling with new ideas….and worries.
She loves cupcakes.
She loves whoopie pies.
She loves her Pilates studio and her gym for allowing her to eat cupcakes and whoopie pies without further expanding her waistline.
She thinks running is only merited when there is a shoe sale or she is being chased by a grizzly bear.
She will never be skinny but she aspires to be healthy.
She hates paying full price for anything and thinks coupon clipping is the most cathartic activity ever.
She is searching for a Prince Charming who can handle the fact that she is a little bit too independent, a little bit too socially awkward, a whole lot high maintenance, and a wee bit too likely to have buttercream frosting stuck to her face or in her hair.
She is hoping she finds her Prince Charming while she is still young enough to walk down the aisle in some fabulous Christian Louboutin heels…and not a pair of ultra-awful Dr. Scholls orthopedic shoes.
She has the eating habits of a five-year old and could peacefully exist solely on grilled cheese sandwiches and chicken nuggets.
She is the opposite of outdoorsy.
She gets the shakes if she is separated from her Blackberry, iPad, or computer for longer than five minutes.
She has two items on her Life List: to write a cookbook and to learn all of the dance moves to the song Footloose.
She took perfectionism to an extreme for far too long and she’s learning to laugh at her mistakes. But if she needs to cry, she knows the extra big bathroom stall is the best place to do it.
She thinks London is the most magical city on Earth.
She has no clue what she wants to be when she grows up and it used to scare her but now she finds the possibilities infinite and exciting.
I’m Rebecca. It’s nice to meet you.
