Just when you thought I was done with the Oreos my mom sends me an email saying "I found some Birthday Cake Oreos today. I don't think you've tried those yet."
And just like that a box with these was in my possession.
I always find birthday cake flavored things a little puzzling because I think of birthday cake flavors as being so specific to the individual birthday in question. But flavor designers seem to think birthday cake flavor means funfetti. Which is fine with me because I always pick a funfetti flavored cake for my birthday.
The Birthday Cake Oreos do have a funfetti filling which is always super sweet.
What I liked about this particular flavor is that they come with the option of the traditional chocolate cookie or the golden vanilla. Because depending on the moment, I want chocolate. And other times, I want golden vanilla. Funfetti filling will always be good! To my limited Oreo knowledge, this is the first time they've offered a filling flavor in both cookie options.
