You will have to wait until June 21st to see what it is inside the bag when it makes an appearance at an event Across the Pond. :)
About two weeks ago, I was on my way to Williams Sonoma when I saw it in the window display at Neiman Marcus. I had to try it on. And when I did, there were (commission-based) gasps in the dressing room. If ever there were something made for me, this was it. But the price tag had me gasping and not in a good way. So sadly, back to the rack it went.
But I could not stop thinking about it. So I went on a mission to find it on sale somewhere, somehow. And finally, some info came my way that made the purchase possible at a majorly reduced price.
SOOO Excited! I walked into Neiman's yesterday and the same saleslady that helped me the first time saw me and said, "I kept hoping you would come back for it." It was an emotional experience as I walked home happily swinging my shopping bag.
But I feel like an Oscar-worthy speech is necessary during a moment like this. So....
Thank you to my friends and colleagues who listened to rattle on and on and on about it. Thank you to my Mom for teaching me to never pay retail. Thank you to Anthropologie and Bloomingdales for always being there for me in the past...I have not forgotten you. And thank you to Judi whose tip ending up saving me in a BIG way. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you!
